Both apps take the tags you log for your Oura Ring and tell you which ones actually move your HRV, sleep and readiness. They make different trade-offs.
Disclosure: I make Corio. Jaan is a good app and, for many Oura owners, the right one. Facts about Jaan come from its App Store listing as of today. Spot a mistake? Tell me.
Choose Jaan if you only wear an Oura Ring, want tag insights for free, and prefer your data to stay on your phone.
Choose Corio if you want to see the actual nights behind each tag effect, also use WHOOP or an Apple Watch, or want a coach and a 180-night recap built on your data, and you're fine paying after the trial.

Jaan gives you a ranked list with impact numbers, for example "sauna days: +5.2 readiness on average". That's quick to read and great for spotting patterns across 90 days.
Corio shows each tag as a set of nights against your own recent baseline: how many tagged nights landed below it, by how much, and which ones went the other way. That makes it easier to tell a real effect from a couple of noisy nights, and Corio says so when there aren't enough nights yet. You can try this on the developer's real nights.
Yes. Its App Store listing says no ads and no subscriptions.
Free to download with a 7-day free trial, then $5.99/month or $49.99/year in the US. Without a subscription you still see your top tag effect.
Jaan is Oura-only. Corio works with Oura and WHOOP and reads Apple Health, so Apple Watch data can be used too.
Jaan says your data stays on your device. Corio uses an account and syncs through its cloud so the coach, recap and friend comparisons work. See the privacy policy.
